Dear families, i would like to take a moment to thank each of you for making the sis dinner auction this year such a success. the event drew over 139 guests, a record turn out, due in large part to the amazing talent of christophe faugere. thank you again christophe for donating your time and talent. working on the event this year has been gratifying. the feedback and support from sis families, the local community and beyond has been very positive. i received many personal notes in support of our event and our school. as you know such an event does not happen on its own. it takes many hands, a lot of creativity and countless hours of work. i was lucky enough to work with many dedicated volunteers whose time and energy made this event possible. one final thank you to those volunteers-ursula abrams, sharon aibel, inger camarro, jennifer cholnoky, lauren cohen, liz dawley, denise evert, judi germond, christine guarnieri, allison harbour, jeffrey and carrie kaufman, michele lanne, tamara rapisarda, kathy rosato, chris stack, bea mcmordie , jennifer migliori, beth moeller, jackie munro, tim nicholson, jennifer poe-faugere and karen schick. please thank liz dawley and denise evert for their tireless work on the evening's program. they secured more sponsors than in any years past. we owe a big thank you to denise evert and skidmore college for bending over backwards to meet our printing needs. bea mcmordie and carrie kaufman worked hard spreading word of the event and sis into the community. lauren cohen and chris stack did a fantastic job coordinating the family basket donations. thank you to inger camarro for helping with the guitar pops and chris stack for making the beautiful chocolate guitars. thank you sharon aibel for the tedious job of numbering thousands of card poker rules chips! thank you to beth moeller and emily crawford of imc for designing our invitations. please do not forget the generosity of steve sullivan. year after year steve donates the beautiful longfellow's space and the delicious food for our event. the revenue from the dinner auction along with other fundraising events held throughout the year has brought us very close to our fundraising goal. our final event for the year will be the family fun fair on saturday, may 19th. you can contact stuart sullivan stuart.sullivan anixter ; or heidi west howenwest hotmail ; if you would like to help with this event. sincerely, heidi west.
